Who is Marcel Vogel?

Marcel Vogel (1917-1991). "Until his recent honorary Ph.D., he possessed no official university degree. He made his mark because of the brilliance of his mind, his prolific ideas, and his seemingly limitless creativity" (Eulogy Dr Bernard McGinty).

Vogel stated that he was influenced early on in his childhood and began his study of luminescence even then. As a child he suffered from respiratory difficulties and at the age of six had a near death experience -- he was officially pronounced dead of double lobar pneumonia. So profound was the impact of this experience that it was very difficult for the young Marcel to return to the so called “normalcy” of childhood. In fact, he never did. He claimed that at this time he experienced a light and a sense of love and well being that was overwhelming. Physical plane life seemed pale in comparison leaving him, even at such a young age, to question the meaning of life. He became increasingly interested in the study of the fireflies that he saw in his back yard. He wanted to know how this little insect could emit such a light.

As an adult, he started his own company, Vogel Luminescense in San Francisco. For the next decade the firm developed a variety of new products: flourescent crayons, tags for insecticides, a black light inspection kit to determine the secret trackways of rodents in cellars from their urine and the psychedelic colors popular in "new age" posters. In 1957, Vogel Luminescence was sold to Ultra Violet Products and Vogel joined IBM as a full-time research scientist, where he worked for over 27 years. .
He received numerous patents (up to 100) for his inventions. Among these was the magnetic coating for the 24” hard disk drivesystems still in use. His areas of expertise, besides luminescence, were phosphor technology, magnetics and liquid crystal systems.

During his research and life experience, Vogel came across two strong guiding principles. The first being that pure thought or intention is a powerful force, that it can be pulsed and focused with a laser like intention. Secondly, that love is the greatest cohering agent. Vogel likened love to gravity    a force that is more than just emotion and is present at every level of existence.
He also designed the Vogel Crystal Wand, which focuses Universal Life Force Energy by concentrating it to a higher level. Vogel crystals are cut to the exact angle of 51 degrees 51 minutes and 51 seconds, the exact angle of the Great Pyramid of Giza. The crystal is designed after the geometry of the Tree of Life symbol. Its design is said to have come to him in a dream.

Where do you go to find yourself?

Where do you go to find the stillness of the Universe? When do we allow ourselves time to relax and unwind? Recapturing the silence within is essential in regaining the mind/body connection. Massage is one of the few things in this world that truly nourishes both body & soul and requires nothing but a willingness to give & receive. A life out of balance will catch up with us eventually, and everyone is out of balance. We do generate illness and wellness in our lives. Medical science now knows that the immune system and the nervous system are inexplicably linked. When you experience anger, sadness or fear all your cells feel these emotions, neuropeptides guarantee it. So when you experience stress, your entire system is affected. Massage strips away the stressors of the outer world and puts you in touch with who you really are and helps direct you back in the direction of balance. A regularly scheduled massage allows you to reset your system, to train your mind & body to return to that sense of balance with greater ease. Massage is not just a luxury but essential in maintaining health of the mind, body & soul. There are many types of massage, bodywork & energywork to choose from to help you regain your sense of peace & calm.  Allow your true self to emerge, step into the world as the beautiful creation you were meant to be. Find yourself, get a massage today.

What is a Vogel Wand?

Vogel crystals are cut to the exact angle of 51 degrees 51 minutes and 51 seconds, the exact angle of the Great Pyramid of Giza. The crystal is designed after the geometry of the Tree of Life symbol. The following is an image of the Flower of Life with the blue area being the embedded Tree of Life dimensions and image.

Below are images of authentic Vogel Cut Crystal Wands. In Crystal Healing Sessions, Wahneta uses one of four authentic Vogel Cut Crystal Wands of either clear crystal quartz or smoky crystal quartz similar to the ones seen below.

Larger wands are made for the "wow" factor as well as personal manifestation. Wands are activated through pure thought, universal life force energy & love. The energy is gathered by the therapist and transferred through the hand chakra and the power finger.  It enters the female end of the wand and gathers speed & velocity as it spirals around the multiple facets of the Vogel wand until it is sent at lightening speed out the male end of the wand and to the client.

The Calendar Debate

It seems that we are being driven mad by the Gregorian Calendar.  We race from one holiday to the next fueled by some sort of retail frenzy, feverish to out buy the family next door.  The Gregorian Calendar is chaotic at best and doesn't flow with the natural flow of the Universe.  It pretends that man and our "cosmic piece of mud" is the center of the Universe.  I remember my Mom reading "Horton Hears A Who" By Dr Suess.  She read it so many times to us that she could recite it by heart.  What if we are the the Who's in Whoville? I suspect that we are. The Gregorian Calendar wasn't adoted by most countries until 1582 and not until 1752 by the United States. Why do we run endlessly from one holiday to the next? What is driving us? What is the goal? What does it say about our purpose here on Mother Earth?

There is another calendar that is making news with modern man these days, the Mayan Calendar. So what is all the hype about? A calendar developed or realized by the Mayan's since at least the 5th Century BC! The calendar was adopted from other cultures including the Aztecs and other early Mesoamerican Cultures. The time keeping system of the Mayans was a combination of several cycles that meshed together, marking the movement of the Sun, Moon and Venus.  Their sacred calendar, the Tzolkin, is based on the cycles of the Pleiades, encompassing 26,000 years. Seems to have a bit more integrity with that time span. It also breaks time down into smaller increments of 5,200 years.  Every Mayan Pyramid consists of 9 steps or levels representing the 9 waves of the Mayan Calendar. We are now in the final 5,200 year stage of the Homo Sapien, the very last of an evolutionary cycle some 26,000 years in the making.  The Mayan Calendar predicts life in this Universe not only going forward but also going back to the beginning of time.  How were they able to do that with such accuracy?

What are these ancient civilizations trying to tell us? Have we lost our ability to "intuit" as we blindly follow a calendar based on modern ideas of commerce & consumption? By being "too busy", have we lost connection with our own inner guidance? Our calendar seems to dominate our culture and our consciousness.  This stage of the Mayan Calendar marks the end of this phase of human evolution.  Where do we go from here? What is next? Will we wake up in time to make the changes necessary to evolve forward, to become what we were meant to be? Who are you listening to? Who do you allow to be your guide? Will we continue to blindly follow a calendar based on religious & government holidays raging with retail hormones? Or will we turn and listen to the important messages from ancient civilizations around the world and the messages from our beautiful Mother Earth? Quiet your mind, you may be surprised by what you hear.

My Day Off

Why do I find it so hard to take a day off? A "Me" Day...

I took a day for myself today, a "mental health" day, a day to just wander & wonder about nothing in particular.  I say thank you to the friends that helped me meander thru my day and I say thank you to all those workmates that knew what I was up to and chose not to interupt.  So, why did pangs of guilt creep in as the day progressed? Why did it feel just a bit odd and perhaps undeserving? If I treated my employees the way that I treat myself and my schedule, they would quit! So, tonight, I ponder the muck attempting to hang on my day of solitude.

I grew up on a farm in east central Wisconsin.  As the cows go, so the day goes.  The care and milking of the cows always came before anything else and the day didn't come to an end until long after the chores were done.  I remember my first week of trumpet lessons as a fifth grader.  We were required to practice 30 minutes each night and document such on a card to turn into the teacher.  We were issued our horns, music to practice & instructed to practice if we wanted to be in the band.  That night, chores ran late.  I don't remember what happened, seems like a sick cow and the outside herd broke thru the fence. Something like that anyways, kept us in the barn until 11pm!  I was unable to practice my trumpet that night but made sure to practice each night for the rest of the week.  I really wanted to be good at everything that I did.  My Dad was a trumpet player, oh to be as good as him!  The following Monday, the teacher chastised me for not practicing my horn on that first night. Little did she know what had happened and when I tried to explain, it didn't seem to matter.  I learned that the work always had to be done no matter what.  An important lesson that many of us seem to take a bit too far.  This is especially true for self employed individuals and entrepreneurs.

As an adult, I am far removed from the dairy operation of my childhood but the lessons good & bad are deeply seeded; work ethic, stewardship & kindness to all creatures.  Balance is a lesson I didn't learn.  My friend Tony and I were having a conversation about "body mechanics" the other day and something about balance. He said you are ok as long as you keep your balance.  I thought wow! That really fits in multiple situations. When trying to help someone in trouble with their emotional or physical health, if we as caregivers lose our balance, we are of help to no one including ourselves.  Our conversation quickly went to airline safety and who gets the oxygen mask first?  We laughed yet the impact of the statement stuck with me.

If you don't take care of yourself, you can't be of help to anyone else.  So I breathe in what is left of my day and am thankful for all the abundance around me.  I am truly blessed~

Immersion in Agape

Agape is a selfless love, a love that is passionately committed to the well-being of another; a Greek term meaning absolute, universal, unchanging and unconditional love for all people. Agape is the ultimate law. It has the power to rise above all else, to empower passion & friendship and to create a loving environment.
As a business model, Agape applies towards all aspects of how you run your business from your employees & contractors to the clients walking in the door. Agape creates an environment that fosters self love, self care and self discovery.  This environment allows for healing, growth and development in all aspects of health; physical, emotional, mental & spiritual (PEMS). Agape can be experienced thru several modalities including Craniosacral Therapy, Integrated Energy Technique and Reiki.
Healing & growth depend on knowing where you have been and what you have experienced.  Creating a dialogue between the therapist and client is essential to hearing and fully comprehending the story that the mind, body & soul need to share. Craniosacral Therapy fosters the dialogue between the therapist and the client’s “Inner Physician” as per Dr John Upledger.  The stories & experiences of life are layered one on top of another though the many layers of muscle, fascia and connective tissue of the body. As we unwind the body and release the trauma, the PEMS can truly heal.
Integrated Energy Technique (IET) supports you in safely and gently releasing limiting energy patterns of your past, empowering and balancing your life in the present, and helps you to reach for the stars as you evolve into your future. Stevan Thayer chose the word “Integrated” in the name to convey the healing vision of “integrating the pain of the past, into the power of the present, to bring about the joy of the future”.  The mission of IET is to “heal the world one heart at a time”.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the idea that an unseen Universal Life Force Energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's energy is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy, healthy and in Agape. The therapist is a conduit for the healing energy of the Universe as it flows thru the client and releases blockages that can lead to dis-ease.
Experience Agape by stepping through the doors of Hands In Harmony and placing yourself in the hands of one of our loving therapists.  Whether you choose Energywork, Lightwork or Deep Tissue the feeling of Agape will seep deeply into your pores and leave you with a prevailing sense of peace & calm. Love infinitely multiplies the faster you give it away and we invite you to partake of our giving.
“Hold Love to you like a beautiful bouquet of flowers and then toss the petals to the wind and see what the world holds for you and how beautiful everything is”.
“The world is so pretty in your heart” Ava

Facing Our Fears

What does everyone really want? The bottom line is Happiness. When asked we may answer, more money, more time, etc. But then ask yourselves what will I feel when I have more money, more time, etc? The answer always comes down to happiness.

What are the road blocks to happiness?

The illusion that we are separate from one another, that our differences somehow far out weigh our similarities. This duality is an illusion that we must break free of. There are three reasons that our ego uses to emphasize our duality; Fear of being laughed at, fear of someone taking your money and fear of being alone. When we get stuck in this continuous cycle of fear, it leads to all the other low frequency emotions.

A complete list of low frequency emotions as compiled by Marianne Williamson’s, “A Course In Weight Loss” are shame, anger, fear, unforgiveness, judgment, disdain, excess responsibility, pressure, exhaustion, burden, stress, heartbreak, injustice, needing protection, selfishness, jealousy, greed, laziness, separation, dishonesty, arrogance, inferiority, embarrassment, & self abnegation. At the bottom of each of these emotions is fear. As a good friend said this week, “It is not what you are eating but what is eating you”.

Williamson states, “You might express beautifully, serenely, and lovingly in one aspect of your personality: yet meanly, frantically, and fearfully in another. Everyone is a mix of characteristics- few people are all perfect, or all imperfect. Yet those places where you’re imperfect are not where you are bad; they are simply where you’re wounded. And what has wounded you, in one way or another is fear itself.” This Shadow Self and our disdain for it, keeps us from fully loving ourselves. When we do not fully love ourselves, we can not fully love others and we block ourselves in and love out. Embracing our Shadow Self, truly understanding ourselves at our core, accepting ourselves for all that we are allows us to step out of fear and into living in the heart.

Living in the heart allows us to step out of ourselves, to analyze our behavior and the behavior of others without judgment from a place of acceptance and understanding. We need to justify our individuality with the fact that everything we do affects the collective and that every emotion we feel is projected outward on everyone and everything around us. We need to truly understanding the interconnectedness of Heaven, Earth and everything in between.

As we heal ourselves and each other so we heal Mother Earth.

Can you see the wind?

How do you know it is the wind? You can’t see the wind. You feel her presence, you see the rustle of the leaves as she moves past, you feel her as she brushes up against your cheek and twists through your hair, you hear her dancing in the chimes. You can not see the wind but you know she is there.  All your senses confirm her existence.

Chi (Chinese) or Ki (Japanese) or Prana (Sanskrit) is the life force or energy that runs through all living things and connects all  things together.  It is the breath of life  that animates all objects. In Traditional Chinese Medicine,  it is believed that the energy runs through channels or meridians.  When cultivated, these energies can be used for healing.

Thai Massage, Shiatsu & Reiki (among others) are healing modalities that palpate, cultivate & redirect the Chi of the body to balance & maintain optimum health.  Thai Massage combines yoga style stretching with compression strokes to lengthen & tone the tissues.  Shiatsu  uses “finger-pressure” and palm compressions along meridians to maximize health.  Reiki is a gentle, yet effective method of cultivating the Chi for relaxation, stress relief & an overwhelming sense of calm.

Do you feel alive? Are you filled with abundant energy for all your day has in store?  Do you lack clarity and peace of mind? Use bodywork and yoga to cultivate your Chi and see where it takes you.
